All-gender restrooms provide a safer and more comfortable environment for everyone. This avoids potential harassment, discrimination, and anxiety a person might face when using gendered facilities including those who align with their assigned gender at birth.
Increased accessibility
The benefits of genderless bathrooms include parents with children of a different gender, individuals who require assistance from a caregiver of a different gender, and people with disabilities who may need more spacious facilities or specific layouts not always available in gendered restrooms.
Raising Awareness
Flyering and raising awareness within institutions and businesses bring about the implementation of all-gender restrooms and underscores the need for education and understanding to overcome resistance and promote inclusivity.
Looking to the future
The Stalled! project also brings in the element of sustainable design for public restrooms, implying that inclusive design can also contribute to more efficient and environmentally conscious facilities.
